January 28th 2020 - Word of the day - ALLEGE

ALLEGE The word allege is a verb which means it is an act.  If you accuse someone of committing a crime but the proof of the wrongdoing isn't yet found, use the verb  allege . You might  allege  that your sister broke a vase, just because no one else was home when you heard the crash. If you ever watch news programs, you often hear the verb  allege . A reporter might say that detectives allege that a certain person, who is now being held without bail, set a fire. This can be confusing: If the person is in jail, then he or she must have set that fire, right? In reality, the person is a suspect, awaiting trial. In our country, people are assumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. That's why we used  allege  until we know for sure. to  assert   positively , or declare;  affirm ; esp., to assert without proof

January 28th 2020 - Word of the day - DILIGENT

DILIGENT Mnemonic : Dil ko jeetne wala diligent hota hai and Dil kafi care and hardwork k baad jeeta jaata hai. Diligent is an adjective which means it a quality of an individual. Diligently is an adverb which means how something is being done. for eg; when we say he did is work diligently it means he has done his work very utmost care, attention and had put in a lot of hard work.  The synonym to Diligent is Assiduous. Synonym to diligent could also be attentively. Diligence is the noun form of the word DILIGENT. Story time There was a boy from Delhi (Dili) and wanted to be a gentleman (GENT). But having desires in life is not enough if you want to achieve something big in your life because having a desire for something is easy but deserving something is difficult.
